The 4th National Day Chess Festival 2025 commenced on 15th December 2025 at Al Oruba Club, Juffair, and will continue until 17th December 2025, marking one of the largest chess events in Bahrain.

The festival is being conducted in three categories over three days:
♦️FIDE Rated Blitz Tournament
♦️Junior Rapid Chess Tournament
♦️FIDE Rated Rapid Tournament

With 300 players participating across all categories, the festival stands out as one of the most widely participated chess tournaments ever held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The tournament was officially inaugurated by Mr. Anmar Ahmadi, President of the Bahrain Chess Federation, in the presence of federation officials and distinguished guests, including Ms. Fatema Redha, Treasurer of the Bahrain Chess Federation, Dr. Basem, and Mr. Lohidas Palaserry, Chief Operating Officer of Almoayyed Contracting Group, who was honored during the felicitation ceremony.

The event is being conducted under the supervision of Mr. Arjun Kakkadath, Chief Arbiter and Director of Arjun’s Chess Academy, ensuring smooth conduct and fair play throughout the competition.

Organized as part of the Bahrain National Day celebrations, the festival continues to promote competitive chess and youth development across the Kingdom.
