5th ACA Rapid Chess Tournament - Eid Special Category A
Arjun’s Chess Academy Bahrain hosted the 5th ACA Rapid Chess Tournament – Eid Special Category A on 24th April 2023. A total of 25 players participated in the event, which consisted of 7 rounds. The players showcased their skills and fought for the championship title.✨
In the end, it was Prithvi Raj Prajeesh who emerged as the champion with 7 points.
The second and third positions were secured by Rishi N and Khush Dholaria, both with 5.5 points. Navaneet Sreekanth and Thanav Gopalakrishnan finished fourth and fifth with 5 points each.👏🏻
Uttam Baratam, Rudra N, Gabriel Vivek Joseph, Nyrav Gopalakrishnan, and Aaryan Anil Jai Prabhakaran secured the sixth to tenth positions, respectively, with 4 points each. The tournament was a grand success.🙏🏻✨
5th ACA Rapid Chess Tournament - Eid Special Category B
Arjuns Chess Academy Bahrain recently hosted the 5th ACA Rapid Chess Tournament Eid Special Category B, where a total of 40 players competed in seven rounds of intense chess matches. The tournament was held in celebration of the Eid al-Fitr holiday. ✨🌙
The competition was fierce, but in the end, Mrinal Aneesh emerged victorious, winning the first prize with a total of 6.5 points.
🏆 Anshul Satheesh Thakaraparambil took the second spot with 6 points, 🏆while Thanav Gopalakrishnan secured the third position with 5.5 points. 🏆
Other players who made it to the top ten include Gautav Nakshath, Aaryan Anil, Saira Mahajan, Sriram, Nyrav Gopalakrishnan, Ineeyan Devaraj, and Jonah.K.Aji.🏅👏
The tournament was a grand success.The ACA is planning to organize more such tournaments in the future to promote the game of chess and encourage young talents to take up the sport ♟️🎉⚡️
1st Eid Al-Fitr Rapid Chess Tournament
ACA Bahrain students showcased their exceptional chess skills at the 1st Eid Al-Fitr Rapid Chess Tournament held on 23rd April 2023 at The Hayat Mall, Manama. The tournament was organized by IIPA and CCA..♟️
In this highly competitive tournament, Arjuns Chess Academy (ACA) students demonstrated their brilliance by bagging the championship and 10 other medals. Rishi N emerged as the champion of the tournament, with an impressive score of 8.5 out of 9 rounds.👏👏👏
Apart from Rishi N, several other ACA students also made their mark in the tournament. Prithvi Raj Prajeesh won the Gold medal in the Under-14 category, while Rudra N and Uttam Baratam secured the Silver and Bronze medals, respectively, in the same category. In the Under-12 category, Khush Dholaria won the Gold medal, followed by Gabriel Vivek Joseph and Mikael Vivek Joseph, who won the Silver and Bronze medals, respectively.🏅👏✨️
In the Under-10 category, Saira Mahajan won the Silver medal, while Jairam Kannappan secured the Bronze. In the Under-8 category, Samyak Anup Shah emerged as the Gold medalist, and Aniruddh Anup won the Silver medal.🏅👏✨️
The ACA students put up an excellent performance and played exceptionally well throughout the tournament, making their academy proud.The ACA congratulated the students on their success and praised their dedication and hard work in the sport.🎉✨️♟️
Incredible performance of ACA Students
✨Arjun’s Chess Academy (ACA) students have once again made their academy proud by achieving exceptional ratings in the international chess. Nine students from the academy have achieved an International FIDE Rating, which is a prestigious recognition in the world of chess. FIDE, which stands for Fédération Internationale des Échecs, is the governing body for international chess competitions.♟️
Out of the nine students, eight have achieved a Classical Rating Format, while one has earned a FIDE Rapid Rating. Classical rating format is the traditional rating system used in chess, whereas Rapid rating format is a newer system with shorter time controls.
The names of the eight students who have achieved the Classical Rating Format and their respective ratings are as follows:

2. Dhrupad Lohidas – 1251
3. Nathan Mathew Punnoose – 1155
4. Nirvaan Ashish Modi – 1148
5. Kanushi Kishore – 1143
6. Noel Abraham Punnoose – 1136
7. Sanjana Selvaraj – 1124
8. Khush Dholaria – 1055
9. Gabriel Vivek Joseph has also achieved a FIDE Rapid Rating of 1017.
Apart from these nine students, Navaneet Sreekanth increased 75 rating points in classical format and Rishi N increased 81 rating points in rapid format.
These exceptional ratings are a testament to the hard work and dedication put in by the students.

We are thrilled to announce the incredible performance of our students at the 1st Labour Day Blitz Chess Tournament held at Adhari Park Bahrain, organized by IIPA & CCA on May 1st, 2023. We are proud to say that our students put up an outstanding display of chess skills.
In the Open Category, our students Rishi N, Prithvi Raj Prajeesh, and Rudra N showcased their exceptional talent and secured 6th, 7th, and 10th positions, respectively, and earned themselves cash prizes.
Moreover, the success of our students didn’t just stop at the Open Category.
Our students shone in various age categories, and we are delighted to share that they won several gold, silver, and bronze medals. 🎉🏅
